For years Full Tilt Poker's VIP program was a joke. It really wasn't a VIP program at all. You just got FTP's for playing and you could buy stuff with them, not much of a VIP program. That has all changed. The Blackcard was originally launched towards the end of 2010. At first there were only two levels, Blackcard member or not a Blackcard member. In 2011 they added two new levels, turning this primitive loyalty program into something that can compete with others. The major benefit for each level is earning Full Tilt Points at a faster rate. The Blackcard still needs a lot of work if they want to compete with the fabled VIP program at Pokerstars but they are off to a good start. Here is a breakdown of the benefits for each level in Fulltilt Poker's Blackcard VIP program. - Blackcard VIP Level 1 - 2X - You will earn FTP's twice as fast as you did before. To earn your Blackcard (they actually mail it to you) you will need to have a rolling average of 500 FTPs in a 100 day period. That doesn't mean you have to earn 500 FTP's every day. You can earn 3,500 in a day and you'll be covered for an entire week. Other benefits include special Blackcard member only freerolls, tournaments, preferred treatment, Carte Blanche and exclusive Blackcard merchandise.
- Blackcard VIP Level 2 - 3X - This level requires a 1,500 point rolling average. You will start earning points 3X faster than normal and receive the benefits mentioned above.
- Blackcard VIP Level 3 - 4 X -This level requires a 3,000 point rolling average. You will start earning points 4X faster than normal and receive the benefits mentioned above. This is the top VIP level at Full Tilt Poker.
Maintaining your Blackcard status at Fulltilt is pretty easy. If you fall below the 500 point rolling average you will have 50 days to bring it back up. If you are a level 2 or 3 player and you fall below the 1,500 or 3,000 you will not loose your status or any of the benefits as long as you can maintain the 500 point average. So in a way all you need to do is play hard for a little while and get to the 3X or 4X level and you can slow it down and still receive all of the benefits.
